Hi! My name is Ashli, I am the face behind Freckled Acres and I'd love to tell you how all of this started.

I didn't set out to start a business,  I was just trying to survive.

Freckled Acres was born after I left my job in imaging-a job I thought defined me.  

​

I worked so hard in college and was proud of where I'd gotten in my career.  But the world was changing (cough cough, 2020), and I was unraveling.  What came next was a spiral I didn't see coming: anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and a deep loss of identity.  I didn't know how to be a present mom.  I didn't feel useful.  I didn't know who I was without a title.

I never thought I wanted to be a stay-at-home mom... unitl I was one-and felt complely untethered.

​

In that fog, I started making candles.  Not for anyone else - just for me.  Something quiet.  Something healing.  Something to help me feel again.  And that one spark turned into something bigger.

​

I began recreating the products I used to love - the ones I had let go of after learning what was really in them.  I thought: What if I could remake them?  Safer.  Cleaner.  Still fun - still a treat.

​

It's a little hippie dippie, a little luxe.  It's not that  serious - but it comes from something very real.  Everything I make is rooted in healing and created with intention.  Each candle, each lotion, each bottle is a gentle reminder to speak kindly to yourself - because I had to learn how to do that too.
